WHEW! I think that's all of it. I think I did fine Friday, but Saturday... yeah. My options were limited and the time between meals was just too long. I only ate until I was full and stopped, but I was SO hungry I think I still ate too much! And I was thirsty, so I know I overdid it with the punch. It was severely wasted calories. But at that time, they had no water out and I was sooooo thirsty. I almost felt sick I was so thirsty. But I figure it was one day and that is fine. It happens. I guess the good thing is that with drinking the punch, I didn't really want much cake! LOL
I am really tired today. The last couple of days were hectic and weird and so, I am glad that today we're sorta sitting around. We are talking of heading out tonight for a couple of days to have some family time before school starts. I know my diet probably won't be great, but I'll have more control that what I have the last couple of days! The hubby likes to eat pretty well most days, so it makes it much easier to be good when we travel. It's just that over a weekend where we have to do something like a wedding, the timeline is just so out of whack. And it's not like I could be rude and go somewhere else to eat. The bridal party is expected to stay and eat and do whatever the bride needs! It went pretty well, and I sure hope she is happy. Her first marriage was AWFUL. But I won't get into the details. This time, I think she will be happy.
Well, I don't want to ramble on. I really don't have much to talk about right now. Not to mention I am tired! My brain is so frizzled I hope I'm making sense. LOL Enjoy the rest of your weekend chicks. I'll be back!
I tried some of my roommate's Smart Balance light yesterday on a whole wheat bagel. YUCK! I wanted to throw the bagel out because I thought the stuff tasted so icky, but in the end I didn't because I hate wasting food. How do you crazies eat that stuff?
ReplyDeleteI hope you had fun with all the wedding stuff. I'm kinda glad I have never had to be in a wedding.
Well, it's because Smart Balance tastes a lot like real butter! And I grew up in the country where we all ate mostly real butter. I can't stand most 'margarine' style spreads. I use real butter on most things, but for stuff like toast, I use the Smart Balance. Mine also has all the Omega stuff in it like Flax oil. Are you sure it was Smart Balance? It's about the only 'spread' I can use. For everything else, we use stick. Thinking about going to all stick butter since Smart Balance can be expensive. I'll just have to start buying it salted since I usually use unsalted in baking and whatnot.
ReplyDeleteOh, I looooove butter! I don't use margarine or any of that crap EVER. It was definitely Smart Balance Lite, because that is all my roommate ever uses. I only grabbed it because I was out of stick butter. I am totally with you on the margarine style spreads.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think Smart Balance tasted anything like butter though. It has a strange chemical-ish taste to me. My tongue is hyper active and nuts though.
I personally feel that it's ok to use real butter as long as you aren't injecting into your blood stream... which I kind of want to do... :)
Yeah... I'm a fan of butter! The ONLY time I use the Smart Balance is on toast. Mostly because I like that I can spread it easy and it will be covered with my RS jelly. Maybe that is why the taste seems fine to me? Not sure... But for everything else, we buy regular unsalted stick butter. I also buy regular oils. I don't like any of the blend stuff. Maybe I should just go try the Smart Balance straight... LOL Nah! LOL
