I've had a bad couple of days. A bad weigh in, stomach issues, kids being nutso... So, yeah, BAD. I just feel so off. I've been a bit productive, but not hugely. Although, I DID finish scraping and sanding the grout in the shower last night and even got he first layer of sealer on it. Its by no means perfect, but it sure is a HUGE improvement! The odd spots blend better, it overall looks smoother, and of course, now it is freshly sealed. I am going to put on another layer of sealant here in a bit, and then I am going to put in fresh caulk later. We have also decided to put in a real 'skirt' around the tub instead of the plastic one that came with it. It just isn't sturdy enough for a regularly used tub like ours. If it was a secondary bathroom or something, it would be different. But it's used daily. So, we need the sturdier built-in skirt. I liked the plastic one since it allowed easier access and whatnot, but we have already gotten a crack on the side of the tub from stress and its not even that old. So, we are going to do a repair and then build in the skirt. I want it fixed correctly and not just covered up.
Anyways, the last few days, I've not really been 'on plan'. Like I mentioned before, I wasn't really on or off plan Saturday, even though that was originally to be my 'off' day. I weighed in Sat. at 194. I got up to 193.5 on Sunday which had be up a pound from the previous week, thus putting me behind. So, I decided I would take Sunday off. I got up to 195 on Monday, but I knew that would happen since I was pretty good all day Sunday until I had dinner. We had Chinese! YUM YUM but I know, full of sodium. Still hadn't had it in a while, so I was glad to get some! So, I have that and then yesterday I knew I was a bit over, but I was SO busy that I didn't care. But I cared this AM when I got up to 196. :( I was so annoyed. I mean, I hadn't eaten perfectly, but it hadn't been horrid. Small breakfast and then salad at lunch with some carrot/raisin loaf. Then the rest of the salad and soup for my snack since I didn't eat much at lunch along with half a muffin. Water, tea, and coffee, of course. Then a decent dinner. But still nothing horrid... And then I realized yesterday that I haven't pooped in days. I FINALLY (right after starting this blog) went. I feel a bit better, but it wasn't an easy go of things. I'm not sure WHAT is going on with me but my urine is really thick and stinky and I'm having a hard time pooping. Even with drinking lots of water and eating lots of fruit, veggies and fiber. I've never had this issue before, so I'm not sure what is going on. Up until the last couple of weeks, I've always been pretty regular and would go every AM after breakfast. But now, I'm going days without going. I'm sorry if all of this is TMI for some people, but I'm at a loss. Hope it is just something random and passes soon. I am going to be careful to watch my water intake today and try to get in more than my regular 64. I want to try to take in 96. Anymore than that and I might float away! LOL No, seriously, I don't want to do more than that because there is a history of kidney issues in my family so I don't want to overwork them.
Anyways, weighing right now is making me depressed so I am thinking about not weighing again until Sunday. I want to do well the rest of the day even if I feel off. Which should go fine since breakfast was right at 400 and then I had a snack of dry cereal trying to get my bowels moving and I think that was around 200 to 275 (I didn't measure). Lunch will be around 300 and then something for dinner. The hubbs goes back on nights tomorrow, so without him here, it will be a bit easier. He tries to be supportive, but sometimes we're bad influences on each other! Like, when he was DYING for cookie dough! LOL I know, I coulda said no, but I didn't! Seems I always have issues when he's off for 7 days. He does, too. I won't deny I love him being off, but it does seem to make our diets stumble a bit. Its like Oooh! We're on a mini-vacay! LET'S EAT! LOL We don't really say that, but we do seem to get more lax. So, I need to get back on it. I think we also felt a bit sorry for ourselves since we didn't get to do our date night.
Ok, well, I am going to stop whining and pouting now and get off of here. I am not happy about the 196, but all I can do is push forward and try to figure out what is going on. There has got to be some solution. Wish me luck!

1/29 Weigh-in
Man, finally able to log in and do my blog! AARGH! I was getting aggravated. I'm not sure if it was my internet or this site, but I kept trying to no avail so I gave it up and moved on. I've been having somewhat of a lazy day and I'm a bit down. My weight was back down to 192.5, and then back up to 194, then 193.5 this AM. Yesterday WAS my cheat day, but I'm really not happy since I didn't do much of a cheat day. I was too busy. I did have half a cupcake, but I drank water all day and didn't munch and well... I just didn't cheat. But for the life of me, I can't figure out why my weight is bouncing up and down 2lbs.! I'm FRUSTRATED! I know it's just part of it, but dang it, I was ahead 1lb. last week and now this week I'm behind!!! Ticks me off! I'd have been happy with just a half pound loss, but instead, I GAINED a pound! It's BS and pisses me off big time! I feel angry and like screaming!!! UGH. But what can I do? Nada. Just gotta keep pushing through. I'm just mad that I am behind a pound now instead of ahead. I kinda feel like a failure. I should expect this at this point, but it's annoying at times. But I refuse to give up. Just going to keep going.
Not going to keep going on and on. Just gotta keep on with it. Outta here for now. Hope you chicks had a better week than me!

Change
Well, just found out our sitter has some awful virus plus strep, so we won't be doing date night Saturday. I'm bummed, but it happens. So, now I'm not sure if I should do weigh-in tomorrow or Sunday. I will probably do it Sunday since that's my 'normal' day and I was only going to do it tomorrow since we had date night and I know I always go a bit over on date night. Not a huge thing over the course of a month or even a week, but can make my weight appear up the next AM. *sigh* I bought tickets to go to the opening weekend of 'One for the Money' and now I won't get to use them. BAH. I hope we can use them the next weekend we have date night. Otherwise, that money is just gone. We got them through Groupon, so it wasn't too bad. But still. It's my birthday weekend! Hubby works next weekend on my actual birthday. :(
OK. No more moaning and groaning. Laters!
OK. No more moaning and groaning. Laters!
Is it Friday?
Why yes, yes it is! I don't keep up with the days all that well other than to know when my oldest has school. Since I don't work, I don't really keep any kind of special hours other than to accommodate other people -- aka, my kiddos and hubby. Which all in all, is a good deal! Well, for me. I know a lot of people who wouldn't like this life, but for me, I dig it. Really, it helps that with my hubby, for the most part, we have a very balanced relationship. Many consider it 'old school' but it works for us. You see, he's the breadwinner in the family and I'm the happy homemaker. I use to work. I managed a hair salon for a year or so and before that, I was JUST getting training to be a Dept. Head at Target. So, we've both done the working thing. And for us, it doesn't work. After we had our first, we quickly adapted our budget to live on one income. We don't make a lot of money, but so far, we've managed to make it work. Being at home has been beneficial for us all. I have been able to really find ways to save money and make smarter choices that have really helped. And the truth is, our relationship is better. When I was working (and many times, I worked longer hours than the hubbs) we fought. A LOT. I was too tired to cook at night and the house would go days without anything being done. Then on weekends when we were off (if we were both off) we'd end up spending the majority of the weekend catching up on housework, bills, and errands. It really started to damage our relationship. And even when we tried setting it up to where each of us did certain things on certain days so that we didn't get so behind, it ate at our relationship.
By the time we had our oldest, I was pretty well done. I didn't want to work. I wanted to be at home. I wanted to STOP worrying so much about things never being done and our relationship falling apart. So, we made the decision to adapt our budget and live on less so I could be home. And it worked. And is working. We may not go out to eat as much or we may not go shopping all the time, but when we do get time together its better. We can work on projects we want to or just spend time together because the majority of the HAVE TO items are done. I keep up on the laundry and dishes and housework so when the hubbs is off, he's off. We're not making up for DAYS of nothing being done. Although, does seem like we do a lot of remodeling! LOL Or projects. But it's good. And we make a good team. I just feel like we are really balanced! And that's coming over into our diets and lifestyles, too. I'm getting better about supporting hubby's low carb and he's getting better about my low cal. There for a while, I was making stuff for me and the kids and then he wouldn't have much to eat so I made a conscious effort to make him an extra veggie or something. And he's finally getting better about adding up his lower carb fare to make sure it fits into my lower cals. It really is coming down to a good balance. I never really thought about how much a good partner in this journey would be. But I have to ask, if you don't have a partner who is supportive and helps you to balance out just your food, diet, and lifestyle, then really, is that partner being beneficial to you or are you there for the wrong reasons?
Eh, not sure what got me off on that.... just something on my mind. Ok, onwards and upwards! My weight this AM was 192.5 again. After that 194 yesterday, I was glad to see that but then I think man, I'm not going to have a loss this week! I guess the 2lbs. last week was too much to ask for two weeks in a row! LOL But I'd say a large part of it has been I've been busy and then had bum issues. But that seems to be straight now thank goodness! I just hope it doesn't happen again. It was ANNOYING to say the least. And I'm somewhat taking it easy today since my parents will be here tomorrow and then we have date night. And since I've run around so much the last few days, I don't want to wear myself out too much today. I am going to do a bit of housework, but other than that, I am going to have a somewhat easy day. OH! And I DID workout yesterday! That's 2 days this week! And I am thinking I may do it again here in just a bit. :) I figure I might as well. It's not like it's over the top hard or anything. But I'll tell you, my chest and abs are feeling it today! I think I may up the leg work since I'm not feeling much of anything on those except maybe the last two reps. Just feels too easy. Still struggling with the ab work but right where I should be on upper body. So, some tweaks and we'll see how it goes today and the next few workouts. What's weird is my thighs already look a bit different... it may be in my head, but that's fine! It's just that looking at them last night, they seemed a bit smoother. Which could be an illusion from swelling from getting back to working out. But oh well... makes me feel good for now! Oh, and I added in some stretching.
Diet wise, I feel like I'm doing ok. We have a lot of leftovers in the house right now that need to be eaten or they are going to go bad. I think I will eat some for lunch and we may even do the same for dinner. I know the hubbs won't be happy with that, but I hate to waste food. We were going to last night, but he said he just wasn't in the mood. I'm sure he won't be today, either, but I am not going to waste perfectly good food if I can help it. I don't mind to throw away a bit of food here and there, but only if it wasn't something we could use. Most things I can find a use for! So, we will see how that goes. I may take part of it and make the dogs a fresh dinner. They haven't had that in a while, so I think they would really enjoy that. And since it's some leftover lean meat and veggies... yeah... healthy for them, too!
Well, it's getting on in the day so I need to bring this to an end and get to it. I need to do a couple of things and then workout. Plus, I hear youngest banging around so I need to go check on him and see what he is doing. Busy busy. Hope everyone has a great weekend starting..... NOW! :D

A bit Icky
Eek! The weather outside is looking a bit icky. :( My tummy feels a bit icky. :( But I think the icky stomach is my own fault. I took a stool softener last night and then had a big cup of coffee this AM. Recipe for disaster! But I had to -- my backside wasn't feeling so well so to give it some time to get back to 100%, I took stool softeners the last couple of nights. NOT taking one tonight, I guess. But at least maybe I'll be ok after this. But I think that coupled with the coffee has my body torn up. AND, I'm bloaty. I figured I would be. I worked like a dog yesterday, had salty food, and then stool softeners. I'm sure I am retaining water like CRAZY. So, lots and lots of water today, lower salt, and no stool softener tonight. Gotta get flushed out. I'm also probably going to take it fairly easy today. I have a couple of errands to run, but nothing that is a big deal. I mostly only want to run the errands because I want to get my dining room table cleared off! I have two bags to take to a girl, a laundry basket full of stuff to return to a friend, and two returns to stores. Then I have a picture frame I need to get new glass for and some pics put up. But I think that will be the extent of my running around. Although, I did think about stopping at Big Lots if I have time. :) OH! And I'd love to stop and get my hair trimmed. It's driving me nuts. :O
I didn't workout yesterday but I plan on doing it today. Here soon, actually. Since I don't get very sweaty, I feel like I can do it whenever. I am going to do some stretching today, too. :D I can't walk right now since my treadmill was dismantled to move it. We made a lot of progress yesterday in the new closet/pantry/storage area and in the study, but nothing in the garage. Oh, and the foyer is as done as it can be! Needs some caulk and some paint, but other than that, all done! :D Guess I need to get a rug now. ;) So excited! I'd love to be done with this house soon. Feels like we've been working on it FOREVER. Now I know why people hire out. LOL We'll probably end up doing what we did in our last house -- working on it until we sell it! I think we finished our first house maybe a month before we decided to sell. Then it sold in just a few days!
Not sure what else will be going on. Sorry I'm not on the blogs much right now, but I feel like I'm doing good just writing mine. That's probably how it will be for the next several days while the hubbs is off. I want to be productive and get a lot done. I just hope we can keep it up. OK, getting off of here for now. Going to chug some more water and then workout. I think I'll put on leggings first. I'm in a legging mood. I know they say that certain people shouldn't wear them, but I love the whole legging thing. Especially with an oversized shirt or sweater. And since it's raining, that and some boots sounds nice and snug to me! :D OK, getting to it. Later!

I think...
I think I'm 192.5. I got 192.5.... then my toddler put his foot on and it shot up. I weighed 2 more times ( I always weigh 3 times -- habit I guess) and got 192.5. I did a 4th time and was 193.0. Bother. I am taking the 192.5 since that is what I saw the most. LOL Even if I took the higher, that's 193. AND, I had pizza last night. No, not one of those healthy ones, either! REAL pizza! But I only had the equal to two slices. Then I was full. The benefit of doing low carb and then low cal. You learn what to eat to keep you full doing low carb (protein and some good fat). Then with low cal, you learn to fill that cal gap with quality stuff with more bulk (fruits and veggies). So, I think my body is so use to eating a certain amount (not just cals but bulk) that it just makes me feel full when I really am. It's great! Makes it hard to overeat! :D I think the last year is starting to really pay off. :) I just got to stick with it. And so far, I'm feeling good about it, so I'm hoping that I can. I really want this to be a permanent change.
So far the day has been productive. I've moved the couch and cleaned under it and then put sticky feet under there so it wouldn't slide so much. The hubby decided to go ahead and tighten a few things up since we'd already flipped it over. The couch sits like new! So, I think we may wait on new furniture. :D The hubby, as we speak, is putting the last few pieces of flooring in the foyer. I LOVE IT. NO JOKE! I knew I'd like it, but it's so nice to have it done!!! Me? Well, I'm taking a break. After the living area, I picked up and cleaned the kitchen and now I'm shaking. So, I'm taking a little break to eat a snack. NOM NOMS in my TUM TUM = YUM YUM! LOL Did I mention I've been dusting and I fixed a lamp? Yeah... I needed food. The shaking was ANNOYING. I rarely get them, but I think we've been so busy and I've danced around so much I just got really hungry. Yeah, you read that right! DANCING! We have the music up and we've been dancing around while we work on stuff. LOL We're silly, but it's fun!
Not sure what else we're doing today. Probably more odds and ends projects around here that need to be knocked out. I'm REALLY unhappy with the contractor right now. I feel he did a piss poor job the last week he was here. If we wanted it done half-assed, we'd have just left it like it was. Otherwise, I'm not going to let what he's not gotten done or what he did WRONG go. Nope. Not satisfied. And at this point, I'm feeling like we should get that last week back as either a do-over or the trailer back. Yup, we paid his last week with our trailer. Ready to have a cow. I want to try to be nice cause I think he was just 'off' that last week and everyone has those. But if he doesn't fix the shoddy work he did during that week, it could get ugly folks!
Guess I will get off of here for now. I want to check FB and then talk to the hubbs. Hope you ladies have a great weekend!!! :D

Quickie
Going to try to make this quick.... 193.5 this AM. Not sure why, but I was super bloaty last night. :( Then I know I had a lot of salt. But I am OK with it. LOTS of water today! :D I am also a bit sore from that little bit of Pilates! Especially my tummy. Oh Didi! You have GOT to youtube that 'Dead Bug' exercise. My lower stomach is really feeling it! I use the series by videojug. I think it's the 'how to get abdominals to die for'. Good stuff! So, I may have a bit of water retention from that, too.
Had a LONG night last night. Younger was up for HOURS and well... so was I. I'm POOPED today.

2nd
That's right folks, 2nd post in one day! But it'll be a short one... been busy all day and I'm sorta worn out now. But I have a clean kitchen, clean floors, lots of ideas found online and some plans for downstairs. Even did a bit more laundry! I need to go down and get it... I'm just being lazy. LOL But here's the really big news.... I worked out! And my oldest did it with me! LOL I wanted to go through and try all the videos I'd downloaded (all were under 10mins. ) and see which ones worked and felt good. I liked aspects of them all, but only liked all of 2. I may still use some of the other stuff, but it felt like it strained. But I wonder if once I am more in shape if it will be better since those muscles will be back in shape. I guess we will see. But my oldest working out with me was a hoot! He did a pretty good job and said it was fun! LOL I can tell you that a couple of the exercises kicked my butt. There's one called 'The Dead Bug' and OMG are my stomach muscles SORE! And I only did 8!!!!! And it's my lower stomach, too! I didn't like the oblique exercises, so I will go back to using my other exercise for that, but man that dead bug is so hard... I'm going to keep doing it! I could really feel it and it didn't strain my back or neck at all. But the burn... oh man, the BURN!!! I may have to up the leg exercises, but the tummy ones have gotta start out SLOW.
Well... that's all for now, I guess! I was just so excited that I had to post. It says for best results to do it 4 times a week, so that is what I'm going to aim for, if not more. It's fairly easy and fast (maybe 20 to 30mins.) so I think it should be pretty easy to get in. I just need to make myself do it! And hubby said that he was going to try to get the treadmill up. It would be nice if I could rotate them and do one then the other and then if I have time, do both of them. OY. Youngest is tearing up the place so I gotta go! G'night ladies!!!

It would be nice if I could rotate them and do one then the other and then if I have time, do both of them. OY. Youngest is tearing up the place so I gotta go! G'night ladies!!!
LOVE
So, 2hotinhere posted a blog recently about loving herself... as she is and who she is right now and it got me to thinking about me. Is THAT why this time is different? Is that why losing slow and steady and trying not to freak out is working? Not that I'm perfect... I freaked a bit the other day. But I am MUCH better now than I was say 4yrs. ago. Have I finally gotten to the point where I love myself enough to do this right? I sure hope so... cause that is certainly what this feels like. This feels like it started out as just a diet to get the baby weight back off and has transformed into a lifestyle change. And I don't feel like I'm suffering or having to KILL myself. I'm going slow, but the slow is what they say will be the determining factor in permanent change and keeping the weight off. And that's my goal. This is for the rest of my life. I see my parents living like they do and that is NOT what I imagined my golden years being. My Dad has lost a lot of weight, but I see my Mom struggle and well, it's hard for me at times. Because I know... I just KNOW... that if she could just make a few changes, she could lose and feel much better. Her latest excuse is if she loses, she'll have saggy skin. I get that! I worry, too! But COME ON! Being here with your family is more important than some skin hanging. I love her, but she can be very superficial! I think it stems from her own lack of self esteem.
Ok, on to other things this AM. Another thing I LOVE is that my weight was still 192.5. TEE HEE! I didn't have my cheat day yesterday simply because the hubby will be starting his 7 day Tuesday night and we usually start that off with dinner out. Then Saturday is date night. I am really diggin' these date nights! Although, we talked about taking a weekend trip this weekend. I'd love to, but what we want to do is go to Ikea. The issue is our youngest. Oldest would be fine going. He'd hate it somewhat, but he is use to going and doing and would be fine. Youngest... yeah, he would be a pain the WHOLE TIME. I love him, but I know him. He doesn't travel very well, hates to be confined, and wants to get into EVERY THING. He's just not got that easy going personality of our oldest. He's like me -- never sits still and is into whatever he can. I am pretty sure our sitter (who is also a close friend) wouldn't mind staying with him, but I hate to be away from him like that. But I don't know what else to do if we want to go. If we take him, we won't be able to do anything we need to without having to fight him the whole way. Aargh! DECISIONS DECISIONS!
On the exercise front, I went through and got all of my Pilates videos together yesterday. It took a while, but I got them all on my video player on my Blu-ray. I LOVE having internet on my TV! I love not having cable, too! LOL So, they are all loaded and ready to go. I need to re-watch a couple and start getting into the groove. I also found a couple that will be great for my back since I've had so much pain in the last year. I'm pretty sure the pain is from not working out! I know I won't be doing a lot of cardio until the garage or 'gym' is done, but I need to at least do the Pilates and the stretching. I'm actually feeling excited to get started on it now. I don't know why... maybe watching the videos helped! :D
Well, I better be bringing this to an end. I need to get some housework done and it isn't going to do itself! Have a great week ladies! :D

1/22 Weigh-in
Are you ready for it???? 192.5! Woot! That's down 2lbs. this week! Yay! I rarely get 2lb. weeks, so I am especially pleased to have one. Mostly because, it puts me ahead now. :D Now, if I could just have a couple more of those, I could beat my 20lb. goal. :D I believe I just finished week 3, so that means 19 to go. My main goal is 20... well, it was 22 or 23 since that's how many weeks I had until it was officially summer for us. But, my 'wishful thinking' goal was 27lbs. to get me into the 160's. Right now with 19 weeks left, I have 19 more pounds to lose and WT (wishful thinking) pounds are just 4 more! So, if I could have just 4 extra pounds out of the next 4 weeks, I could be in the 160's. UNREAL! I'm going to keep working for just the 19. If I get the 23, that's great, but I am happy with how this is going so far. But it's nice to have a 'bonus' in mind. LOL Sorta like when you were in school and you'd take a test and you'd get a couple of extra points if you wanted to do the bonus question. I always did the bonus question! Yeah, I'm just like that. ;)
I'm still not working out. I keep trying to do it... but I don't. I am fine with not doing a ton of cardio... I kinda feel like it's overrated as it is. But I NEED to do more toning. Don't get me wrong, cardio is important, I just think it is stressed so much that people forget that toning and strength are important, too. I really don't feel a body needs so much. I'd rather just move. Yeah... I'm a repeating record. I've said that before. But I need to find and make time for the toning. I walk and move quite a bit and even more during warmer months, but I sure need to make it a habit. I like the stress relief of walking on the treadmill. But I really NEED the stretching and toning. UGH. I NEED TO DO THIS! NEED! Even if it doesn't speed up my weight loss or help it at all, I know that it would for sure tighten me up and make my clothes hang better. Especially my arms and thighs. My stomach is shot from babies, so I don't worry about it too much. I'll still work on it and make it the best I can, but I know what it's been through so I won't fret too much. But I'd like my arms and thighs to look nicer and firmer. The rest of me isn't too bad!
Where did you all notice your loss the most? I've already started to move into smaller clothes -- some 14's and L tops but I'm mostly still wearing 16's and XL. Mostly because I'm more comfortable in them... especially on bloaty days. I am thinking another 5lbs. more or less and 14's will be the norm. I think the high 180's is when I was wearing 14's last time. That means my clothes, so far, have changed in the top part of the numbers. I'm hoping that means when I get closer to my final goal weight, I will get to about 155 and not be in between pant sizes. I guess we will see when we get there, huh!?! Anyways, I noticed in some pics from where I've been losing weight off and on for the last couple of years (derailed for a bit by pregnancy! :D) that when I start to get to the low 190's and then into the 180's, my face really starts to change. I use to always think I had a round face, but now I am starting to think maybe not... maybe the fat was making my face LOOK round when in reality I'm more of an oval or possibly a triangle. I need to look that up again sometime. Anyways, feeling pretty happy with the fact that my face is so much thinner on top of the clothing starting to fit better. I can't wait to give away more clothes. :D
Well, I guess I need to be wrapping this up. I'm going to look up some stretches and a couple more pilates moves on youtube. My fave one is already on there and I remember all but the stomach and back. Which are the same. But I also want to look up some exercises to stretch because my back has been a mess again. Just tight and all full of knots. I probably need to see a chiro, I just haven't made the time. Ok, guys and gals, off I go! Hope your weekend has been great! :D

NOT hormonal...
Turns out, I wasn't hormonal. I was sick. Less than 30 mins. after writing my blog, I had stomach cramps so bad I thought I was going to die. Then it hit me -- I'd had two pieces of bread the night before. You see, I've had these stomach issues off and on for the last few years and I've been trying to narrow it down to what it could be that makes me have these 'dumping' episodes. We thought it was caffeine, heavy metal poisoning, and lettuce at different points but it's all been or seemed temporary. With the caffeine, it ended up not helping. I switched to herbal teas and still had issues so then we tested our mugs and they tested positive for cadmium which is in the same category as lead. So, we got rid of the mugs and for a little while, all was well. Then it started happening again and we thought it might be my diet so I laid off of the diet to give my system a rest. Then it seemed as if the pre-bagged lettuce we were getting was causing an issue. Then recently it has started up again and I was like WHAT NOW??? So, I started trying to see when it happened most and I told my hubby that as strange as it seems, it seemed to happen every time I had bread. But only a certain bread. Over the holidays I had bread, but it was mostly home-made. But then after I went back to store bought... a low carb kind. And now I'm wondering if I have a soy allergy. Because the last 3 times I've gotten this, the only thing is common is soy. You see, this low carb bread is made with a mixture of flours... one of which is soy flour. I LOVE this bread and it's my fave. But the last two times I got this, I had more than 2 slices of that bread in one day and then the next morning, sick sick sick! The 1 time I had a low carb pita... but again, made with soy flour and again, sick sick sick! I never thought of soy before. But what I do know is that I can eat lettuces fine, coffee, bread, and even pasta and cereal with no problem normally. I only have this reaction once in a while. And so far, soy is the only thing I can find that ties these incidents together. Not wheat, gluten, or any other thing. Just soy. Not a huge deal since I don't eat it often, but I know I need to be careful -- especially of the bread. I seem to be fine if I only have a slice or two, but more is an issue. But honestly... I'd rather have an English muffin than the bread. LOL I only have bread when I want some sort of sandwich most of the time. Occasionally toast. LOL
So, after my insides being all inflamed yesterday pretty much ALL day, I was worried about what my weight would be this AM. I avoided food for the most part for the first half of the day, but I did munch on oyster crackers, water, and some Fresca. I finally had a normal lunch, snack, dinner, and dessert. I almost didn't weigh this morning for fear I would still be up, but I was 193.0. I'll take it for sure after yesterday's ordeal. I'm not sure what tomorrow's weigh-in will be, but even if I am the same, I'll for sure take that, too! I'm just glad that I feel normal today. Yesterday was just awful. I felt like yuck pretty much all day and my mid-section was so tender. I just couldn't STAND it! BLEH.
Now, today's weather is BLEH. It looks AWFUL out. We've had thunderstorms all morning and now its getting foggy out. YUCK YUCK YUCK. But I am thankful it is Saturday and we are all here and snug in the house except for the hubbs. He had to go to work, but he got there early before the mess hit. Hopefully it has passed by the time he goes to come home. I wish he had been off today, but we were lucky he was off for the last couple of days. We got a LOT done. We purged more stuff. I was able to give away, sell, or trade more stuff. Which was AWESOME. I'm waiting to hear back from a lady about our couch. If that sells, we should be able to get our new couch, double chair, and ottoman soon. Still not sure what to do about our blue chairs... my oldest keeps asking to keep at least one, so we may. We also got our treadmill moved out to the garage along with the weight bench. Now, if we could just get the garage done so we could actually workout in there! Just too cold right now. I want to finish it in more so that it could be actual rooms if future owners wanted it to be, but not so much that is actually done. I just want it roughly finished so that we can use it without freezing. I hate doing laundry right now because it's SO cold in there. Hubby said that we would work on that and doing the floor in the foyer while he was off. Mostly insulating the garage door, replacing the entrance door and putting the sweeper and the insulating strips on. We already put in the windows with the rest of the windows and then a week or so ago, new mini-blinds. Eventually we will do the floor and ceiling. It'll be like our own little private gym! I'm a tiny bit excited! And if we can get the temp more even, I'll be able to workout while the kids play in the rec area. :D
I forgot to mention I went to the store and OH MY did I load up!! All my fave stuff like berries and granola bars were on sale so even though I spent $30 over my budget, I shouldn't have to buy some stuff like granola bars, snack bars, crackers, and some frozen items for a while! It is SO much easier to diet when you're stocked up on yummy things. I normally do snack bars, but not really the granola ones. But these new ones looked so good I wanted to give them a try. They are oatmeal, raisin, almond and cranberry. NOM NOM NOM. My hubby said they were junk compared to Kashi, but Kashi uses a lot of soy. And well, I just don't want to take the chance. :(
I guess that is all for now... I really should get off of here and do some housework. Mostly want to straighten up the back of the house then do some more on the downstairs and the living room when youngest takes his nap. So, off I go! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

argh
I'm trying REALLY hard not to get frustrated today, but I'm feeling frustrated! VERY! Weight this AM was 195 and I don't know WHERE the hell that came from. I know weight fluctuates, but as much as I was up and peeing last night, I should've been DOWN. NOT UP!!!!!!!!!! What the hell is going on? I did go out for Mexican the night before last, but I ate on plan the whole day. Then yesterday, I was in my cals all day and drank a ton of water to flush out the salt. Which apparently hit me during the middle of the night because I felt like I was on the potty all night. Then I get up to 1freakin95? I feel like SCREAMING. URGH. I would say it's lack of sleep, but since doing low cal it's not made that huge of a difference. I guess I need to get the ol' calendar out and check the dates. I know I tend to gain when I ovulate. Nothing drastic, just a pound or two. So, this very well could be that. But with my weigh-in coming in and knowing that if I don't stay on track for this week I will get behind, I'm worried. Yes, this is long term and I'm trying not to freak, but I'm in a freak-out mood today. I'm not sure why. GAH. I bet it IS hormones.
Ok, just checked out the calendar, and it very well could be that I'm about to ovulate. That makes me feel much better than if it was just random. I guess it's never really random. I'm sure our bodies have their own reasons and we just don't understand. And I'm trying not to get irritated by it. But sometimes its just frustrating. I think the reason I'm frustrated is I'm nervous. I'm less than 10lbs. from the lowest I can actually remember as an adult (186) and I'm nervous about getting back to that. So, going under 190 is freaking me out for some reason. And it just hit me. And I hate it. I'm not typically the type to freak out over that kinda thing but I am. I got to 190 back before the holidays and I don't remember freaking then. So, why would I be freaking now??? I wonder if it is because my husband is dieting this time around?
I don't know why that would make a difference, and I am trying to be supportive of him. Why on EARTH would that matter? UGH. I don't know if it's that I feel worried about it being a competition or what. I'm excited and nervous all at once. I want to see 18?, then 17?, then 16?, and then 15?. But how do I get past this feeling of nervousness and dread? I talked it over with the hubby some. I just wish I knew what it stemmed from. It's not like our marriage will fall apart or anything. At least I don't think so. I know that happens to some relationships, but we've been up and down together over the years. So, what is there to be nervous about? And even at 18?, I still will need to lose another 30lbs. Yes, I most definitely must be hormonal. Why else would I feel like this?
I guess I'm just going to keep on keeping on and this too shall pass. Lots of water and more rest and hopefully I'll be more like my normal self. I feel like since I started losing weight I've become somewhat more perky. I've even noticed it in my blogs -- they are mostly positive (HA! Until TODAY!), upbeat, and all about continuing on forward. So, that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to keep going forward knowing that this is just a slump and will pass. My hormones are driving me nuts and that's all there is to it. I should've known... they've felt off for the last few months. Hopefully it's just the time of year and it will get better.
Have a good one ladies! I think I'm pretty well caught up on most of the blogs. And if you're a new person and want me to check out your blog, please either post the link or the name. Laters!

Another day...
Hello ladies and gents! I'm awake and up... well... sorta. I'm awake. I'm not really up and motoring, but I have eaten breakfast and I am drinking my coffee. But I just feel outta it. I'm just overly tired. I got a burst of energy last night and picked up and sorted all of the toys and then ran the vacuum. That was after I had already picked up around the back of the house some, cleaned the kitchen, and made dinner. Then after that, I gave younger a bath and a snack before I put him to bed. If you can believe it, he slept until 5 before he woke up. FIVE!!! I am going to give that try again tonight. I was reading an article about how to get better sleep and it said to have a healthy carb snack before bed that would release seratonin(sp?) which in turn boosts melatonin. So, I tried banana. He LOVES banana and I thought it would be a good option for a late night snack. If it works again tonight, we may have a new routine! Maybe doing this will help to train his body to sleep at night. I don't even care if he cuts back on his daytime nap at this point.
I think I'm noticing a good trend on 3FC lately. Seems like more and more people are doing the healthy way of weight loss (slow and steady) instead of crash dieting. Now, granted, I'm somewhat sticking to my old and familiar blogs, so I'm not sure about newbies. But I can see that within the ones that I keep up with and the few I've picked up it seems like we are all on the same track of doing good ol' dieting and exercise. Good to see! Just wish more people were that way. I tell people what I'm doing (1600 cals per day) and some people seem surprised... like I should be doing less. I don't wanna so I'm not gonna. 1600 is pretty darn realistic and easy. So, going to stick with it. May take me longer, but I'm training. Just like with a marathon. You run and run and run to get your body conditioned to a certain level of physical activity. I'm eating the same cals. day after day with a variety of foods to train my body to get use to eating and using a certain level of calories. I may not always be at exactly 1600, but I'm close. I've had busy days at 1400 and foodie days at closer to 1800. But I think that is ok, too. I'm close and that's what I'm heading for... a good steady average. I feel like by doing this once I reach my goal, this will be such the norm that I will do it automatically.
Oh! And my weight was 193.5 again today. :) I kinda expected lower since I kept going potty non-stop yesterday. But I'll take it. Even if I don't see anything go down between now and Sunday, that would be another pound for this week. And considering my sleep schedule, well, I think that will be just fine! Oh, and speaking of sleep, my Mom made a suggestion to me last night because she has a hard time drifting to sleep just like I do. I do all the lists and things, but that never seems to help me anymore. So, I'm thinking that I should give it a go with some of my own twists. She says what she does is she lays on the couch when she first starts to feel tired but AFTER she has gotten ready for bed. I have never been one to do that because I hate sleeping on the couch. But she says usually what happens is she drifts off for a bit and then when she wakes up she turns the TV off and gets into bed and falls right to sleep. I'm thinking this may work... So, what I plan on doing is getting everything ready early and then laying down on the couch. Then seeing if I can drift off. The hardest thing will be shutting down the pute. That tends to be when I do a lot of reading and whatnot, so it will be hard to just switch off. But I know I need to do it or I'm going to continue to feel like crap and it's going to keep slowing me down. I am hoping I can do it early enough that even if younger gets up, I can still get some sleep. I may even have to turn my phone off!
Well, I guess that is all that is going on my way. For once, drama is on the low end and I'm not feeling overwhelmed with family drama. I guess that's the way it goes when you stay away from people! LOL Not that we're avoiding anyone, we just aren't allowing ourselves to be pulled into other people's mess right now. Kinda nice! ;) Ok, off of here for now! Take care ladies!
Craziness
Craziness insued in my household over the last week and I've been trying to get back on track. Not food wise.. well, a little foodwise... but mostly just busy and crap going on. Mostly of the kidlet variety. My youngest is up all night and my oldest is a pain during the day. I keep catching him lying. He BLATANTLY lied yesterday and I told him ONE MORE TIME and he was eating SOAP. No joke. I'm going to old school make him hold a bar of soap in his mouth. I'm not even going to scream or fuss. Just get the soap. Apparently none of the other punishments have worked like time out, losing toys, etc., so something is gonna give. Momma means business! LOL
Anyways, we had date night Saturday so I did my weigh-in on Sat. morning which was 194.5. It actually said 194.0 but I always take the highest now. Just makes more sense. I am going to switch my weigh-ins to Sat., I think. I'm not sure... But since date night is always on Sat. now, it just makes more sense to do it then. Or maybe I'll do it on Sunday the majority of the time and only do the Saturday when we have date night... I guess that's the best idea! Anyways, even with my period, that is a 0.5lb. loss. I'll take it! That means 2lbs. down since I started. :D I know for some that's not much, but everyone needs to know I am doing this WAY slow. I am in NO hurry. That's why no hardcore working out or really strict cals. I need something I can stick with long term and hardcore isn't it for me. Although, I will admit I WAS excited to see 193.5 on the scale this AM! I think the bloat is flushing out! :D I did feel like I spent a large amount of time on the potty yesterday... LOL
I am still not working out. I tried to talk myself into doing it the last couple of nights but I am just SO tired I want to finish up stuff and go to bed. I know I keep giving the excuse of my youngest isn't sleeping, but he really isn't. He's up anywhere between 1 and 3 times a night. Even if I go to bed as early as I can which would be around 9 or 10, I am still up so many times I don't feel rested. Not to mention, I lay in there and flop around because I've not had any quiet time to wind down. So, then I get frustrated on top of the other stuff. AARGH. But I am trying to find times that will work. Like, right now. I am thinking that after I eat, I'll do Pilates. Youngest is eating and chilling while I type this, so I think that I could workout now. If not now, then in a bit when he has his snack I could. He's in his high chair during snack and the dogs go outside so I have the floor to myself! :D
Although I haven't been doing formal exercise, I have been staying busy with one thing or another. I just wish we could get this house done. I am purging as fast as I can, but being so tired it sometimes takes a bit for me to make decisions that use to take seconds. Even in typing I notice that I am having to correct more errors and it's just a PAIN! I am having a lot of protein at breakfast today and then lots of water and a multi to try to combat my exhaustion. Then later I may try to take a little nap. If I have to start taking naps and let a few things go, so be it. I need some rest. And I have a sneaking idea that if I did nap, it would give me a boost to finish things rather than be so tired that I can't function late in the afternoon. Which is what happens... I do fine in the AM (especially after I eat and have some coffee) but I poop out in the afternoon. Then I'm not much good at all. Then after dinner, I get a small second wind, do a few things and then I'm so tired I can hardly move. :( But my point is I am staying busy trying to organize and whatnot. I started working downstairs yesterday. The upstairs is pretty purged... just needs to be organized. That's only taking a while in one room... oldest. We finally found a bedroom set so now we just need to buy it and get his room straight. It's driving me bonkers. Same with the downstairs. We just need to get the couch and a few other items out and we'd be good. Slowly but surely, I guess. We already found the furniture for the living room... another La-Z Boy if you can believe it. I think we may be spoiled. LOL Once you own a LZB, it's hard to go to another kind of couch. And seeing as how their prices have come down some in the last few years, well, they aren't that much more expensive than anywhere else. But the quality is amazing. I just refuse to buy anything right now until we get rid of a lot of this other junk. I am hoping we can sell our stuff and give away some stuff to finance the new stuff.
Well, I guess that is all for now. I need to get off of here and get some things done. Mostly my kitchen and some designs. I need to figure out a layout for oldest's room to make sure the new furniture will work and give him plenty of space. Busy busy busy. LOL Hope you ladies are doing well... will try to do some reading tonight!

Better
I'm feeling much better today than I did the other day. I'm still tired thanks to an OH SO CRANKY toddler, but at least emotionally I'm not feeling like things are so outta whack. Hubby and I got the kiddos to bed early the other night and were able to sit and talk and snuggle. Amazing how just doing that and having some downtime together can make such a huge difference! It was really nice to chill. But then last night youngest fought and fought and fought sleep. And then he was up during the night having a COW. Literally. It sounded like a pissed off cow was hiding under his crib he was carrying on so much!!!! I was about to lose my temper and spank him I was so annoyed. I finally sent my husband to bed and I rocked him until he was out cold. Took a while, but it was better than keeping the entire house up. I didn't go back to bed this AM, either. I decided to just stay up because there's really no point in trying to go back to sleep when I know that someone is going to be here in 45mins. So, I just got on up. I thought of working out, but I was groggy so I passed. I think I will do it this afternoon. I think I am just going to TRY to workout at a few different times and see how it goes. If I keep trying I will surely find something that works, right? UGH. I HOPE.
I didn't weigh today and probably won't the rest of this week. TOM got here yesterday and it's messing me all up. I was hungry ALL DAY yesterday. And it about drove me nuts. And the chocolate craving was insane! I know I went over my cals. I had extra fruit, an extra multi-grain Wasa crisp with PB. And straight semi-sweet chocolate chips. It was that or go nuts. I think I went the last two days but I have just felt like I was STARVING. Constant stomach growling, being light headed, and cranky. I made a plan for today as soon as I got up, though. I'm upping my protein. I looked back over my menu the last two days and I think my protein was too low. I figured if I upped that and lowered processed carbs, it would help. I didn't eat a ton of carbs yesterday, but I started the day off with a blueberry bagel since that is what sounded good and I think it got my sugar off to a bad place. Normally it isn't an issue, but I guess having my cycle is making my body all weird this time. I normally don't have nutso cravings during. I usually have it during PMS and then it passes quickly. Not happening like that this time... I hope that upping the protein helps this time because I'll be huge by the end of this week if it keeps up! I already don't expect a loss, but I sure don't want to gain.
Well, I feel like writing more but I need to get off of here and get out the door. We needs odds and ends stuff from the grocery store, so I'm going to go ahead and go while oldest is at school so I don't have to go late tonight. Hubby only has one day off and that's date day so I don't want to go then. Not to mention, hubby has been tired lately, too, so I don't want him to have to deal with the kiddos alone. He may not even get home until super late tonight. I made white chili last night, but it came out super salty so I am going to fluff it out some more and water it down. It was yummy, just a bit salty. So, I think I can add more to it and make it better. Not sure if I want to do that tonight for dinner or tomorrow.
****** Back from errands and so far, the extra protein at breakfast has made a big difference! That, or my hormones are finally dropping back to a manageable level. LOL The protein helped so much, I didn't even finish my food. I had 3 heels of bread, one egg and one turkey/cheddar link. I didn't eat the 3rd heel. I would normally only eat two pieces, but one was so thin... wouldn't be enough with it and one other and didn't want to waste it. But I did end up wasting some because I didn't eat the 3rd one and it wasn't the thinnest one! LOL Well, going to tie this up for real now. My car is finally done and I need to go and pick it up once youngest gets up from nap. Which is going to be around 4:30 to 5 whether he wants it to be or not. I don't have much choice! He'll probably be a grump, but there's not much I can do about it. Later ladies!

Lighter and Cleaner
Thanks ladies! Yes, I've been trying to go with the steam and get stuff purged and sold. I'm still at it! I took off more yesterday and may have buyers for both couches. If those sell, we're going to buy a smaller scale sofa for upstairs and just leave the downstairs open. I am thinking we will probably get some more Ikea storage and just have a play and activity room down there. I hope we can make it to Atlanta or Charlotte at some point. But I want to sell and clean out as much here as we can before we go that far. But I can tell you that already, the house is feeling much lighter and cleaner. I'm really ready to just get this stuff straight. I figure I can work on putting things away after we've purged it out some. I want to get rid of it based on use and not just space. I know if I base it on space I'll keep more than I need. But if I do it based on need, I'll let it go. Then when we go to buy storage, we'll already know exactly what needs to be stored. I am just excited that we are making progress and its starting to feel better in here. I do, fairly soon, need to find a bench for the foyer. I've been looking, but haven't found anything for sure, yet. I'll find something soon, I hope!
My weight is pretty good. 194.5 yesterday and 195.0 today. It said 194.5 then 195 so I must be in between so it rounded up. I figured I'd be up more -- I did a TON of running around yesterday and I am sore and swollen. I was dumb and wore the cutest boots, but they had a heel and since I've gotten out of the habit of wearing them, by the end of the day I was DYING. I didn't think I'd be doing that much running around or I wouldn't have worn them! Oh well, I looked cute! LOL But I'm pretty happy with that #. I know it will go up or stay the same this week with my cycle starting soon. But I can live with that.
Things are sorta tense in the house today, though. It's sorta a TMI thing, but yeah, the hubbs and I aren't clicking right now. I know it's just a phase and that it will pass, but right now it's annoying. He used to be really attentive and want to spend time with me, but lately he seems... off. Not sure what it is or if it's me. We have a date night coming up so maybe that will help to get out and do something with just us. I think we may just both be overwhelmed with dieting, finding time to exercise, work, kids, etc. You see, the hubbs has gained some weight, too. So, he has gone back to low carb. So far, he has lost 3lbs. I think he was a bit disappointed by that but he didn't say so. But he's not doing Phase 1. He's just cut them way back. And, he just came off of night shift. He never seems to lose much on night shift because it is so hard on his body. But I think 3 is good. So, that may be part of it -- just trying to get back into the swing. I guess my issue is that lately it seems like the only time he does anything nice is when he wants something. He use to be nice just to be nice. But it feels forced and well, that makes me feel resentful. Like he's a teen who's kissing butt to get to go to a party or something. It's kinda bugging me and irritated me so much last night that I couldn't sleep. So, I'm a bit grumpy and snappy today. I am going to get up and clean the crap outta the house in an effort to get over it. Not sure how to address it with the hubbs or if I even should. For the most part, we have a pretty great marriage so this may be all hormones talking.
Well, I am going to get off of here and get going. This nasty house isn't going to clean itself and I have several cleaning things to get done. Hope all you ladies are doing well! And any gentlemen if you're reading this, too. Laters!

1/8 Weigh-In
Weigh in this AM was 195. I had hoped to be lower by now, but I kinda thought I wouldn't -- I've had PMS. And even though I've done ok keeping myself in check, I know I am going to get all bloaty and swollen soon! :O I actually already feel a bit swollen. I woke up with my hands and feet feeling a little tight. Going to drink lots of liquids today! Starting with coffee! YUM! And then a big glass or two of water. :D
I haven't really worked out this week and that's mostly my fault. And a little bit younger's... he's been up and up again and again. So I've been on survival mode. I've managed to eat well, take care of the kiddos and house, do errands and all that, but exercise just didn't fit in. I should've made it, I know. And I know I'm using the same ol' excuse. But I AM going to do it. I'll figure it out. I will!
Other than that, it's been the same ol' same ol' around here. Well, other than the work on the house. The contractor came back this week and started the work on the foyer. Once he's done with the woodwork, he's going to do a ton of painting and some finish work. I will be SO glad to be done. Feels like we've been doing work for years! Well, we basically have. He has another week and a day here, so I hope he can knock out a LOT. I'm ready for the house to be pretty done. I know once all of this is finished we will have the extra bathroom and the kitchen to finish, but the kitchen is mostly some trim and paint. And we didn't want to do that until Spring. Not sure when we could do the bathroom. Not even sure really what we want to do down there. I guess we will see.
On another aspect of the house... we've been purging like crazy. We have thrown away, given away, donated and sold SO much during the last week that it's just crazy. I went through all the baby stuff and gave away 4 boxes, a bag and some larger items. Been doing the same with other stuff and just clearing it out. We just have too much stuff. I need to take a dresser to a friend today if possible. I have a lady picking up a gate and a cot later. And hopefully she has a kennel I can use. Ours is just about ready to completely break. And when it does, UGH. No kennel. When it breaks, I am thinking of keeping the bottom to put our other dogs bed in so she has her own space since the other dog gets the kennel and she always tries to get in there! Now, if we could only get these couches sold! Especially the one downstairs. I'm not in such a hurry for the one up here, but I'd really like to get the sectional sold. We want that to primarily be a play room and that couch is just too darn big down there. OK, I WOULD like to get this one sold, but I just don't have the money to replace it right now unless it sold for exactly what we listed it for. But I guess until we find something we really love, it doesn't matter. LOL I really don't want to finance any furniture since we just got a new car.
Well, I need to get off of here and stop rambling on and on. Hope all you ladies have a great rest of your weekend!
1/4/12 Check-In
Good morning! Yes, I'm writing again after just posting last night. I know, I know -- too much too soon. LMAO J/K!
Weight this AM was 195.5. So, already I am starting to see a downward trend after just a couple of days. VERY happy for that! We'll see how well I can do by Sunday. I'm hoping that by Sunday, I will be down another pound. Two would be nice, but I guess I won't count my chickens until they're hatched! But I can hope, can't I? I can hope that it was just some false pounds from a week or so of overindulgence... especially in the doughnuts department. I swear, reading these Stephanie Plum novels is what brought it on! You see, the first of the series, 'One for the Money' is coming out in theaters on the 27th. So, I had wanted to break out the ol' series and re-read it. Then once I started... well... I got sucked in and I'm on 10 now. Janet Evanovich sure knows how to write some funny and interesting stuff! I truly enjoy them! But the issue is they talk about doughnuts in them... A LOT. Normally that wouldn't be an issue, but I think it was since I was more relaxed over the holiday and well... I ate a lot of doughnuts! LMAO Oh well, totally worth it. I think I got my fill for a while! But now I need to get these jelly pounds off -- cause that's what I ate... custard and jelly donuts with some lemon thrown in for good measure!
It's still hard for me to believe that it is 2012. This time last year, I was over 216lbs. My high before that was over 226. So, to be where I am now (even if I gained a tiny bit) is really good. I kinda feel like even if I only lose another 20lbs. in the next year, I am still working my way down. Of course, my goal is to lose another 20 in 6mos... or more. I'd really like to see the 160's by Summer. Even if it's the high 160's! But I will take what I can get. I don't even know if I could do it. Lemme see... to get under 170 from where I am as of this AM, I would need to lose exactly 26lbs. I'd need to lose 27.5 to get to 168. Ok, according to my calendar, I have 22 weeks until the first week of June. I could do it if I have a couple of good weeks! And minimal bad weeks. I would like to lose 2lbs. per week, but knowing my body like I do, many weeks I don't lose at all even if I am on plan like I should be. Then I may have a good loss but in the end, it usually averages out to about a 1lb. loss per week. At least since I started the 1600. I had a few months there before where I just SAT. No loss, no gain. Just... nothing. But I am not going to be bummed. I am going to continue to do the 1lb. per week as a goal and if I have 2, consider it a bonus. :D
Well, I think I am going to get off of here and read a blog or two and update my page. Seems as if it has been forever since I updated and I want to make sure my stuff is accurate. Later ladies!

Not dead!
HEELLLLLOOOOO Ladies! I am here, and I am not dead! WOOT! Just been super busy and then this AM, well, the bug finally got us. Oldest was the first one sick then I got queasy but I took acidophilus right away and even gave some to younger. I am hoping that he doesn't get sick since he is so small he won't understand not being able to have a bottle. Oldest now understands that if he eats, he will immediately get sick so he's fine with avoiding it. I swear I think he curses some when he thinks I'm not listening. I would -- I hate the stomach bug! AARGH! BUT, I am very thankful to have made it this long and then through the holidays. I feel we were blessed to have gone this long!
So, let's see what has been going on? You know about the car and all that jazz, but I have to tell you how much I love my car. We got a Ford Flex Limited (used) and I tell you, I am in LOVE with it. I loved my Durango, but holey moley is this the ultimate car for me. I never thought it possible to truly enjoy a vehicle the way I do and I feel so blessed to have gotten it!!! Thanks to a good hubby who took off TWO whole weeks at Christmas. It was AWESOME. I know he needed it and we needed him. I got somewhat spoiled, though. I hope I can adjust back pretty quick. LOL He went back to work tonight due to a call-in. I hope his associate is OK. It didn't sound good. :( Still waiting on news. Oldest is still out of school until next week, so I'm not sure what all we will do. But I hope we can do something!
Christmas and New Years went great here and were a TON of fun! The BEST in YEARS. Just missed my nieces and nephews. We did have a bit of family drama, but I won't get into that tonight. Too much to deal with all in one night. LOL
Weight? Oh yeah.... WEIGHT! I checked to see what the damage was this AM. 196.5 I'm thinking that is probably pretty accurate, but I will do an 'official' weigh-in on Sunday. I meant to last Sunday, but ended up sleeping in and forgot. Oops! But oh well, it is what it is. And honestly, I'm trying to be better about not sweating the small stuff. Ya know? If I gained 5lbs, I gained 5lbs. I own it and that just means I gotta make sure that 5 doesn't turn into 10. It was a nice break, but I'm ready to get back. I've been cutting back since Monday, I think. I need to keep cutting back until it's natural again. Most of the day is pretty easy already so I'm happy with that. Then I need to find time to workout. I am hoping that will be able to happen if we ever get a chance to finish downstairs. You see, we've been doing a lot of purging and WOW has it made a difference! I plan on staying on the 1600 4square plan. I think it's the best way for me to go and I have been happy with it.
Well, I guess I don't have much to write about right now. Just wanted to touch base and start reading some blogs. I've checked a few, but not many people are on. Probably trying to get back in the groove, too. But Didi, jelbelle, ellie, pepa, I WILL read up on you and comment soon! I've missed everyone. :)
