It's a gloomy day out, but things are better around here. Yes, my dear chickies, I am over being mad! YAY! Yeah, I got over it. I just hated that yesterday went down the tube and I was grumpy since he was grump and all off. But, I guess everyone is due a bad day. So, I'm over it now. I'm just glad he doesn't get them often because it really does disturb the balance of the entire house! The good note is that I DID get a lot done! And today when we were all cooled off, he even said how nice the organization looked. LOL Oh, the joys of marriage and coupledom.
apassionatodivinobianco, I wanted to answer your question! To update your blogroll, go to your Site Admin page. Then go to 'Manage'. Then go to 'Links'. From there, you click on 'Add New' and you can add the pages you read most often. What I do is open their blog in a new tab, copy the URL in the address bar, and then paste it in the correct spot. And of course the title of the blog or the name of the person who does the blog. Then go to the gray box on the right and click 'Save'. TA-DAH!!! :D Hope that helps!
OH. In all the annoyance that went on yesterday, I never got to write about my day on Sunday. Considering that was day 1 of UP and I got to get out for the day, that was just a recipe for goodness. lol First was dress shopping! It actually went really, REALLY well! She did change the dresses slightly (which did make the price go up) but since she is one of my oldest friends, I was like, whatev. Of course, we ordered way early, so I made sure to ask if the dress could be altered down. They said at least two sizes. But get this -- the dress was a 14!!! NO KIDDING! When I was there last, the dress was a 16. But that was at least 10lbs. or so ago. So I was VERY happy to need a smaller size. Made me have a HUGE smile! I did feel bad for one girl, though. She was in the fitting room (I don't really know her that well) and seemed to get upset when she couldn't get the 16 on. They had to bring her a larger size. I heard her say that she was too fat and needed to try to drop some poundage before the wedding. I didn't say anything. I felt bad because I know how that feels. And well, since I don't know her that well, I didn't feel right saying anything. As selfish as this sounds, I was darn happy to not be in that position. I felt good and was so happy! And did I mention my jeans were lose? Yuppers. Those 18's were downright BAGGY! WOOT!
After all the wedding prep stuff, it was time for me to go shop. You see, I need shorts for vacay. I ended up buying two pairs of twill shorts from Ross (both 16's!) and a pair of cute capri's from Kohl's. The shorts are chocolate brown and olive green. So, now all I need is one pair of regular dark denim shorts and I will be good. I wore a lot of bermuda shorts the last time I was a 14, but didn't really find myself wanting to try them on this time. I'm not sure why... Anyways, I ended up with all 16R even though I DID look at the plus sizes just to see if they had any 14W. But didn't find many and the 16R fits fine. I tried on a couple of 16W's, and even after eating out, they were loser. And well, after being worn for a bit they would be too baggy. So, I was super happy to get the 16R's and they fit fine and will be fine after a bit of wear. And let's face it, I love the color! I use to never wear much color on the bottom, but with my body shape, it gets really old wearing dark denim and black. I like the idea of wearing other darker neutrals on bottom and spicing up my wardrobe a bit. If I keep losing, I'll have an all new wardrobe -- because all those 14's are just sitting there waiting for me! :D
Anyways, I had a good day and evening. I also got a couple of cute tops and a new bra. And believe it or not, I came home and chucked 3 old bras. 2 were the right size, but were so worn out. One was a cup size too small and always felt like it 'cut' into me. I believe I am going to start making it a priority to have good and comfortable under things. Kohl's had a GREAT selection. I normally shop at Dillard's for my good bras and then pick up whatever for everyday/work bras. No more. I am going to start investing money into GOOD underthings! I want my girl's happy and no more invaders of the butt crack! Boobs up underwear out! And WOW did Kohl's have a lot of great bras! I'm a 38D, so it can be a pain to find. But I have friends much larger so I kinda peeked to see if they had some of theirs and it looked like they had a decent selection. I know Dillard's carries many of the larger sizes -- you just have to ask. And it's not that a D is huge or 38 either, it's just that for some reason that combo isn't always out. Or maybe a lot of women are a 38D and they sell fast? Not sure. Anyways, it's not plus and it's not regular. It's another in between. But I know that my band takes a LONG time to go down. I'd probably have to lose a lot of weight to get to a 36. And well, I'm hoping the cup doesn't change! LOL I tell you one thing, I feel for the ladies out there who have lost and DO have a 36 band but then have a cup size like F. YOWZA. Dang near impossible to find those sizes. I feel for ya ladies! Thus why I will not complain too much. In comparison, my shopping is a BREEZE.
OK, well, I should get off of here and do something. Like, spend time with the hubby or check laundry. You know... stuff. And I need to stay away from FB. LOL I get tired of FB at times. I love keeping up with friends, but OH how the drama llama loves it some FB! And lemme tell ya, I don't like riding the drama llama! Such a bumpy ride! ;)
Glad your hubby was in a better mood yesterday. It's amazing how the moods of others can effect the mood of everyone around them. At least you got some cleaning/organizing done due to the frenzy, right?
ReplyDeleteReally great to see your dress sizes are going down! That's always my favorite part about losing weight. I can remember doing the bridesmaid dress thing with one of my best friends a couple years ago and me being so upset that I couldn't even fit in a size 16. Six months before the wedding I was like, "If I don't lose this weight before the wedding, I'll kill myself." Well, I didn't lose the weight, probably gained at least 15lbs between buying the dress and the wedding, and ended up paying $100 extra to have the dress sized up for me. It was mortifying. I can definitely sympathize with the other girl in the bridal party in that respect.
So long as we keep on track we'll never have to be that person again and we can continue doing happy dances trying on newer, lower sizes.
Yea my fiance gets his PMS too usually after I get mine. lol
ReplyDeleteNiccceee!!! Hooray for new smaller size! :) Good Job Jewelz!
I can't wait to fit on my old smaller clothes. The day will come!
Have an awesome week! :)
