I've never been big into measurements, but decided to do that. Not sure why, but here they are:
Waist at navel: 41''
Hips at widest part: 47.5''
Bust at band: 38''
Not sure how often I will measure these, but I figure that it can't hurt to see. Mostly because, well, weight isn't really THE most accurate account of whether we are losing. It just happens to be the easiest. I think now that I've done this, I will go ahead and add this as a page, too. That way, I can track it. Might as well, right!?!? LOL Although, not sure how exact my measurements are. I checked them several times and tried to only do the 'easiest' ones, so hopefully I won't mess it up! LOL
BTW, thanks ladies for all the positive vibes for reaching ONEDERLAND! I really appreciate it and hope that I can keep some positive movement forward! Now I just need to decide if I am happy with the way my goals are set up. I swear, I feel like I flop more than a fish at times! LOL
I've never taken measurements because I was scared to be inaccurate. I kind of wish I did at my highest weight just for my own information!
ReplyDeleteI would say do your measurements every 2 weeks - 4 weeks depending on what you're comfortable with. Always make sure you measure the widest areas of each body part so you get an accurate reading otherwise it's really easy to get distortion in figures.
ReplyDeleteI would say stay with your small goals of 5lbs. I personally don't give myself time frames to reach my goals just because I KNOW I would end up feeling defeated if I can't reach my goals in time. I know I'm going to get to where I want to be in time just so long as I stay healthy and active; the weight loss will happen the way my body wants it to.
Hope you're having a good day!
I take part of that back as far as measuring the widest parts, measuring your waist you would want to go at the navel (like you've done) and keep the tape even all the way around. lol, not sure what I was thinking.
