One of THOSE days...

I am having one of THOSE days.  But honestly, trying to make the best of it.  The hubbs has a flat tire and he had to call in today because... shock of all shocks, no one could help us out.  Then my Dad has his heart surgery tomorrow so he took off for that, too because no one could help watch the kids.  So, since we were going along so well we decided to hire a sitter for the days we want to work on the house because we just don't think anyone will help us out.  I mean, we're having some issues now and no one will help, so don't think anyone will help with that.  I was upset at first until my hubby pointed out that maybe people are just so use to us being able to do things on our own that they don't even offer to help now.  I am wondering if there is a lesson I am suppose to be learning here?  Like maybe, to learn to flat out ASK for help and to be thankful because things could always be worse.  Believe me when I say I get it and lesson learned.  I am going to try to be more aware.  I DID flat out ask for help with the kids for the house stuff, so, that's a start.  And I am DETERMINED that even though this is one of THOSE days to make the best of it and not let it get me down.

Well, this is going to be short today.  I probably won't post again until at least Weds. or maybe Thurs.  Will just have to see.  The only other thing to say is that I didn't do so hot yesterday.  I know I had too many carbs!  Darn you cantaloupe all ripe and yummy!  DARN YOU!!!  But man, it was SO good!  SO!!!!  But I know I ate too much.  LOL  But oh well.  I've done stellar for today and then tomorrow is the first of my moderate days.  So, we will see how it goes.  I think I will follow my plan like I said in the previous blog and just see how it goes.  Take care chicks and I will be back when I can!  :D

  1. I wish I lived closer to you! I would help in a heartbeat. I hope your week improves from now on! I hope your dad feels better ASAP.

I'm too nervous to ask for help sometimes and give the image of being independent but I think sometimes people are just clueless!

  2. Learning to ask for help is really important. You can't keep giving if you aren't getting back!!! I hope you are feeling better and that everything is working out.

  3. Hey, Jewlz- how do you post a ticker on the side of your blog? I've been trying to without any luck. Grrrrr.

  4. That is exactly what I was doing! It will save it, but then won't appear on my blog. The theme I am using won't show tickers. When I changed themes it appeared magically on the side. Curses! At least now I know I'm not just mentally challenged and crazy. I guess I have to decide whether I want to change themes or not...
Thanks for the help though. I was getting pretty frustrated over my silly bloggy change failure.

  5. Doesn't it seem like that's how it always works? You're always the first to help people out or take care of things on your own but they don't seem to realize that YOU might need some help. It would be nice if they'd at least return the favor with an offer.

I wouldn't worry too much about the cantalope! It may be carbs, but it's a good carb! I'd live on cantalope, if I could! Hang in there & remember to take care of yourself!
