This is what I've had so far today. And I'm not feeling too bad about it, except for I probably shouldn't have had the chips and queso. I didn't eat a huge amount or anything, but I should've had some fruit or veggies. I REALLY should've had that celery that's sitting there in my fridge. I LOVE celery. Raw, cooked, and even in soups. I don't know why I do, but I do. I know I had some tomato, but I could've had another veg in there. Especially since tomatoes are really a fruit. LOL This one was special, though. THIS was the very first tomato off of MY tomato plant! :D It was yummy! hehehe
I got a lot done today -- yard mowed, tomatoes picked, kitchen cleaned up and fridge cleaned out. Not to mention I actually cleaned up the bathroom. Oh, and the dining room got cleared out -- it had stuff piled up on the table and now it's cleaned off and wiped down. I also got all the vacuuming done. I have NOT worked out, though. But I've been busy! Tomorrow is probably going to be the day of laundry. UGH. I dislike laundry. But I am going to do it and get it done. Probably dusting and bills, too and getting everything ready for oldest's first day of school. BUSY BUSY BUSY.
I'm baaaaack! I did a few more things tonight. I filled oldest's fish tank, took off my old nails, did some more dishes, and I TRIED to talk myself into going through some clothes for youngest but so far I've not felt like it. I think I will save it for tomorrow. I also got the dog's things together and got the house ready for bed so that when it's time to go to bed here shortly, I can just go to bed. I have decided to get up at 7AM in order to start getting myself ready for the school schedule. I also took the time to enter my day's food in FitDay. So far, not a huge fan of it, but I had wanted to see where I was calorie wise. Right now, my goal is to stay at/under 400 cals. each meal and 200 for snacks. Which is why I haven't really been 'tracking'. Looks like my total for today was good, so I'm happy with that. I don't have the exact number (I'm missing my meat sauce), but without it I as at 1350. I don't think the sauce was 300. Maybe close, but not over. To maintain, I need around 2000. So, at 1600, I should have a 400 deficit per day. That way, if I do ANYTHING to burn cals., I SHOULD be losing weight. Calorie counting has never worked for me before, but I'm giving it a go and being easier on myself. I think what I'm doing is pretty easy. And if I need my cals to go down to get lower, I should be able to do that. OR, up my 'exercise'.
All I know is that for right now, I need something simple and easy. Low carb is somewhat easy, so I'm still doing that as well but overall, I am hoping just to be balanced. I hope to use the FitDay program just to check up on myself. I already saw a couple of places where I can make improvements. I plan on focusing on that this week. Overall, I'm happy with my choices. Well, it is now very late and I need to get off of here and get to bed. Tomorrow brings a new day... and probably a busy day! So, I am going to finish this show and hit the sack. 7AM is going to come early. Don't think I will wake youngest up. Think I will just let him sleep! G'night chicks!
I love celery too! It has such a nice, crisp, light green taste, and I adore that crunchy texture. One of my favorite snacks lately is celery with Bolthouse Farms yogurt ranch dressing. I highly recommend those yogurt dressings (kept cold in the produce department) because they are so tasty and much lower in calories and fat.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look for that dressing... I make my own a lot. I am a huge fan of just olive oil on a salad with coarse pepper and salt or a balsamic vinegar style. I do eat ranch once in a while, so I am going to look for the yogurt based one the next time I go. I had been using Marzetti. It goes bad pretty fast, but we eat a lot of salad and veggies! But I like that it is all natural with no preservatives other than it's own fat and salt. Sorta like butter.... Mmmmm! LOL
ReplyDeleteHey, overall, I think you had a pretty successful day. :) I'm glad! As for your eating choices, you seems to be doing well. And, don't stress too much on the little thing. It's nice that you are eating according to your plan, but don't forget to treat yourself sometime! :) It makes you feel good and it doesn't hurt you too much on the calories either.
ReplyDeleteAlso, congratz on getting a lot of your daily task done today. It is a big accomplishment. (trust me on this =] ) Overall, it's a day well lived! I hope to read more about your day tomorrow! :) Keep it up!
