Sorry about the 'funk' post earlier. I was feeling... funky! LOL I was in a bit of a slump and I'm not sure why. Like I said, the hubby and I aren't on the same page right now, so I'm not sure if it is that or just any number of things piling up in my mind. Lord knows it's always piling up! LOL But after getting up and getting busy with my day, I am FINALLY feeling a bit better. I got my kitchen cleaned up really well -- including cleaning the dish drainer, the coffee maker, the espresso machine, the garbage disposal and the regular dishes. I got all of those dirt cheap ripe bananas sliced, flash frozen, bagged and put up. Along with the whole bananas I set aside for banana bread. I also worked on some projects. I got two walls in the bathroom re-painted, the light fixture cleaned and the new shades put in, and all of it cleaned up. I am hoping when my hubby gets home, that I can go out and mow, too. But not sure if that will happen. It keeps looking like rain, but so far, nada. I can't even treat the dadgum crab grass in the front yard because of the fear of rain!
Anyways, I feel like even though I started out feeling rough, the day has gotten better. I had oatmeal with some apples for breakfast, but couldn't finish it all. I sweetened it with Sweetleaf and added some butter and cinnamon. YUM! Like I said, lunch was a ham sandwich on whole wheat LC bread with some mayo and half a pear with a few bites of banana. Snack was a small handful of nuts (mostly almonds), a couple of oz. of cheese, and strawberries. Dinner will probably be some steak and veg. Since snack was good, I probably won't even eat much dinner. But that is a few hours from now (we eat late), so we will see. But I try to eat every few hours. I think I ate at 10, 2, 6, and it'll probably be close to 9 tonight. You see, we put the kids down for bed and then eat. If we didn't, the hubby wouldn't get to spend any time with the kids before bedtime. With school starting, oldest needs to be in bed around 8. We're working back to that. We are at 8:15 right now. The kiddos eat around 7 so that bedtime is good. Next few days will go to 8 then 7:45. I'm not willing to go any earlier than that. I'd rather make oldest start taking a nap after school. If he DOES take a nap, we'll just stick with the 8. I guess we will just have to see what works.
Also, not only did I stay busy and eat well, I remembered my vitamins! And my water, too. I've been drinking my water all day. :D Glad I remembered the vitamins and the water. I am thinking of trying a new vitamin in replacement of my Saw Palmetto. The Saw Palmetto supposedly helps with keeping the male hormones under control just like it does in men. I noticed a huge difference when I was taking it. But, we ran out so I have been without. As a result, my hair is shedding more on my head, my skin feels different and has had numerous breakouts, and other things just seem... off. After doing some research, I've found that Vitex (chaste tree berry) is suppose to have a similar affect. I am thinking of giving it a try. I bought some at one time for PMS, but I didn't really use it. I have enough to give it a good trial run, so I am thinking it couldn't hurt. I may start it tonight...
Well, I should rap this up. It's going on 7 so the hubbs should be home soon and like I said, I need to mow. If I don't do that, I will color my hair. I really should do that just because I don't want my hair 'bleeding' next weekend before the wedding.
