Ok, ok, ok... I know today isn't my official weigh-in day... and didn't I see this number last Sat.? I don't remember. Yup, just checked... I did! But then I got my cycle. BLEH. At least I didn't go up like 5lbs. this month. I don't know why I didn't, but I am glad. I felt somewhat 'normal' this time and that is totally new for me. Well, for the most part. I usually feel really sore, tender, and bloated during my cycle and I hate that. But I was fine this time. The only 'effect' I'm seeing is that my skin is always broken out. This started when I quit taking the saw palmetto. You see, I had some Vitex (chaste berry) and I had started taking that to see if it helped. Unfortunately, I've seen no change but that is my own fault. I've not taken it long enough or steady enough to really see any change. And it's the whole crushed berry -- not the extract. I am thinking of either sending the leftovers back or just throwing them away. I hate to do that, but at the same time I want to get back to the saw palmetto. I re-ordered last night so they will be here next week. I hate to be wasteful... maybe I will finish the Vitex or rotate them out. I guess I need to decide soon because my sore skin is driving me BONKERS! They don't feel like regular acne... they don't just get heads and then go away. They are SORE and RED and look infected. Not to mention, they take FOREVER to go away. I am thinking it is more like cystic acne which would be typical of PCOS. But I've not really had any other symptoms as of late. I really hope I don't have any other symptoms come back up!
Anyways... I'm really happy with that 194.5 and hope that it sticks around. I'd love to see a flat 194.0 tomorrow, but either way I am going to be content as long as it doesn't go back up! LOL Even then, I will try to be more calm about it. I am just so happy to feel like progress is being made and I am not suffering for it. Does that make any sense? I know I keep saying it over and over but I still can't believe it. It still feels like it shouldn't be like this. Like I'm cheating somehow. But I'm just eating as healthy as I can... like this AM I had 3 pieces of thin sliced bacon, a cinnamon raisin english muffin with butter, and a bowl of fruit. YUM. Plus my coffee. Good stuff! I actually made more bacon, but I didn't eat it. I got full. It doesn't sound like much, but it was very filling! I was a tad disappointed... I originally cut up a white peach I had here and a yellow peach I just bought at the roadside market. The white peach ended up being rotten and so did the yellow! I could see the bruising on the yellow and figured half would be bad, but ALL of it was gross. The white looked fine so I cut it up and only nipped off one part, but it TASTED moldy. I ate a bite or two and then threw it away. YUCK. So, then I ended up just using another yellow peach. It was a bit smaller, but SO good! So, my fruit was 1/4 banana, a small golden kiwi, and a small yellow peach. Good stuff!
OH! I tried a new mix with the salad dressing last night. 4oz. balsamic, 6oz. oil, and 2 oz. water. I don't think I like it. :( That little bit of water made it VERY watery. It literally rolled off of the salad. I think I might've put a bit more than 2oz., but I was eyeballing since I was in a hurry. The bottle is marked and I know I missed the mark, but I did on the other stuff just a bit, too. But I'm not going to give up -- I am letting the rest sit in the fridge today in hopes that it will meld together better by sitting chilled overnight. And if I make it again, I am going to watch the measurements closer. And like I said, I may try juice, too. I was going to last night and then realized I was out. Hmmm... speaking of I need to set some out or get some out of the pantry! Otherwise, the kiddos won't have juice for snack later. I wonder if I have cherry juice? I am sure they are sick of apple and grape juice. LOL I buy the frozen concentrate. I can control the water ratio that way. And so far, the kids seem to like it, it's less sugary, and has saved us a ton. I think the only way it could be better is if I fresh squeezed it. But I'll be honest, I don't have the money to buy that much produce plus a juicer; not to mention the TIME. UGH. I'm pretty happy with this current arrangement. And then when I get good coupons or there is a good sale, I get Welch's or Juicy Juice in other flavors like cherry, strawberry banana, white grape, etc. Gotta keep some variety for the kiddos! Ok, and the parents, too! I don't usually drink it, but sometimes I use a splash in something. Would've been nice if I could've used something last night. I guess I should've tried fresh berries! DUH! I just bought some of those! Oh well, next time!!!!
Not much planned for today. I think I'll do some laundry and dishes. Maybe dust. Clip everyone's nails. Hubby did his, of course, and I did mine. But now both the kiddos and the cat need it. The groomer does the dog's, thank goodness. Then we have to get ready and head to a b-day party on the North side of town. BLEH. Not sure what I'm going to do during those two hours... It's a drop-off party. So, I need to find SOMETHING to do. I've already run all my errands, so I don't have much to do. I guess I could go to the Public Market and walk around, but I'm afraid I'll buy something! And right now, we don't need more stuff. If I come back home, I'll just have to load back up withing a short period of time to go right back. So, I want to find something to do in the area. I just don't know what. Walking the Public Market would also be good exercise.
Well, I guess I should get rolling. House isn't going to clean itself! LOL Official weigh-in for the week and month tomorrow PLUS measurements! Until then, have a great day, chicks!
