 Inside Your Home

1. Do you live in an apartment/condo, townhouse or house?  

House.

2. What is your home’s coolest feature? 

Hmmm... probably the new laundry shoot we're putting in or possibly our island -- the entire top is glass!

3.  Do you enjoy DIY projects?  If so, what are you working on now?  

I do!  We have several projects going on large and small.  The big one is doing some sewing -- I need to finish a dress remodel I started.  Big is we're painting the back of our house after hanging all new siding, wrap, and insulation.  And yes, we did that all ourselves!

4. When using the dishwasher do you use powder detergent or liquid?  

For me, I use whatever is cheapest and gets them the cleanest.  So far, that has been a powder and liquid combo pack.  I've replicated it with dry powder and dish liquid.  :)

5. Do you have a TV in your bedroom?  

We have recently added one.  I was having terrible insomnia, and for whatever reason watching the same movie every night helps me to shut down and sleep.

6.  Is your range gas or electric?  

It's an electric flat top.  

7.  How often do you sweep/mop/vacuum?  

Every other day or so on the sweeping or vacuuming.  With 2 kids and 2 dogs, a cat, and a house under remodeling, it seems to always pile up.  I don't mop all that often but I steam... but I do prefer mopping because it seems to get cleaner!

8.  What is your favorite place to shop for home furniture and accents?  

There is a place here called Brown Squirrel that I like.  I also like the Marketplace (inside of Krogers).  But my FAVE places are Ikea and Lazy Boy!  The new styles that LB has had out in the last couple of years are spot on -- comfy but stylish!

9.  Do you decorate for holidays?  

Some.  We use to go all out for Fall/Halloween but then we lived in a neighborhood where no one else really did and we've fizzled out.  I decorate for Christmas, but I keep it simple and do more inside than out.

10.  If you could have HGTV come in and redo one room in your home which room would you choose?  

My back yard!  We've been working on it off and on for a few years and hope to get it done soon.  But its been a chore.  The house alone needed so much work that the yard just sort of...  went wild.  Here's to hoping we can knock out a large chunk over Fall Break!!!!
