Hello out there in Blogger Land! I am up and kicking this AM. I've already started picking up, done some dishes, had breakfast, checked email and my FB, and now here I am doing my blog and it's not even 9AM. I normally go back to sleep after I get oldest off to school (or at least I try to) but today I decided I needed to get a lot done, so I might as well just stay up. I have someone coming this afternoon to possibly buy some things, so I'd like the house to look somewhat nice. Plus, we are suppose to go out Friday and then Saturday is the hubb's only day off this week so we will want to relax and not worry about housework. SO, it just made sense to get up and get going this morning. I actually can't stay on here long because I want to try to knock out a good portion of stuff before I even get oldest from school. I had wanted to try to get some yardwork done, too. But just not sure if I will be able to swing it all. I don't want to wear myself out. I just don't want the hubby to stress. He is much more relaxed when the house is clean and the yard is done. Granted, we will need to do some work this weekend if at all possible, but if it is more of a WANT than a NEED, he doesn't stress. He says it doesn't bug him, but I know that it does. It's one of the main reasons I'm glad I'm not working outside of the home anymore. If I had to, we'd make it work. But while I don't have to, it's nice.
I didn't weigh this morning, though. I meant to, but I just didn't and now it's too late because I've had my coffee and breakfast. So, I will have to wait and do it tomorrow. I really want to get back into the habit of weighing daily. Maybe I'll go ahead and go weigh... Just so I have a record. I had been weighing but not every day and I think that is why I am slacking a bit. So, I want to get back in the habit of doing it again. Ok, even after eating, my weight is 194.5. I hope that means that some of the sodium from the Chinese food is going down. Imagine if I hadn't made it a point to get and eat mostly veggies? I don't get why 'Americanized' Chinese food is so junky. Most of the foods that I have eaten that are from Asian cultures are way less salty, have much more veggies, and lots of non-fried proteins like fish. Although the Americanized is good sometimes, I mostly like the more real stuff that hasn't had a ton of sugar, salt, and fried stuff added to it. I think I am going to have to go back to making our again. One place here does more fresh, but it's pricey and well... I'm perfectly capable of making it myself! LOL
I did pretty darn great on food yesterday calorie wise. Breakfast was coffee and 2 strawberry pop tarts. Not the best, but what I wanted. Lunch was beef stew, some multi-grain crackers, and grapes. Snack was yogurt and cranberry/bran cereal. Dinner was some garlic & black pepper chicken, spinach salad, and baked beans. I did slack some on water, but I was already in the bathroom so much I felt like I couldn't get it in! Late snack was hot chocolate and some popcorn. Just want to say, this Poplite air-popper is so AWESOME! Never thought I'd love a popcorn maker so much, but I DO! I just put on a little butter spray, a light sprinkle of salt, and VOILA! Probably isn't much better than the bagged stuff, but seems cheaper! LOL
Still not exercising like a goof. Going to TRY to squeeze in at least some Pilates and stretching here in a bit. I mean, I gotta do it. I just do. I KNOW I look and feel better so why is it so hard to do? UGH. Cause I'm LAZY when it comes to exercise!!! I do great on doing things around here most days. Like yesterday, I got started on one project, did another, and purged a few things. But exercise... I just never 'have the time'. It's just a lame excuse and I need to get back to it.
OK, it's almost 9:30 and I've been back and forth on here several times now with younger up and etc. So, I'm going to get off of here and get going with my day. Hope you ladies have a good one!
