A little while...

So, I know it's been a little while since I posted and I am sorry for that.  I just got SO busy!  Not to mention that unless there is drama, I don't have much to talk about.  And let me say, the drama llama has been riding hard these days!  But I don't want to get into it, really.  It's the same ol' same ol' family drama and well... it just isn't worth it to get into.  I will say some family drama on my side was cleared up and quite easily.  But the other is the same ol' mess.  BLEH.

On a good note, the hubby and I decided that we as a family needed a little get away.  However, his step-dad wasn't doing so hot so we had wanted to be somewhere fairly close by in case we needed to get back home or head outta town.  So, we decided to go to this Indoor/Outdoor water park called Wilderness at the Smokies.  It isn't too far from us, so it was a good fit and the price was decent.  Not great, but decent.  So, we went!  I am going to try to upload some pics if this will let me.

The indoor kids play area.
The bucket -- it dumps 1000 tons of water every few minutes.
WHOOSH!

The indoor wave pool.
My husband and son are in there somewhere...
The Vortex body slide.
Overall, it was a VERY fun trip!  We didn't eat great (we could've done much better!) but we were VERY active!  VERY!  And it was a nice break from our usual lives.  What did I like the most?  It was salt treated.  There were other chemicals, I'm sure, but the salt was the dominant one and I really liked that.  You can see part of the lazy river that runs under the Vortex in the last pic.  That and the wave pools were our faves!  The tube slides were cool, but my kiddos were either afraid or too small, so we only did a couple of those.  There were other indoor things and outdoor, but I don't want to load a ton of pics.  LOL  I may load one more... I bought some new shoes recently and I just love them! They are wedges and this pretty purple-blue color with little flowers.  I am becoming a shoe hog again!   I got my youngest son some cute ones, too.  Ok ok... here's a couple more photos!

Sorry the pic of the wedges isn't too great... never realized how hard it was to get a good pic of your own foot!  LOL  But I love the shoes!  I may wear them today for lunch.  We're meeting my SIL.

Anyways, my weight is WAY up.  The last I posted it was 186.5 and I was so excited that I might be under 185 soon.... but yesterday I was 193.  :/  Yes, that is BAD.  Today was 191.5/192.  I am seriously hoping a large portion of this is just bloat not only from eating out so much, but also from so much exposure to heat and running around.  I guess we will see in the next couple of days how it goes.  I know I plan on being on my game for sure.  Breakfast was black coffee and a blueberry bagel with PB and honey.  I'd say right at 500 cals.  I wish they made the thin versions of the blueberry bagels... they are the ones I love the flavor of, but they are SO thick!  I love bagels, but I really love bagel thins, more.  But they don't make the blueberry in the thins!!!  Which I don't understand.  But I won't be eating them for a bit after today.  I had wanted one for a few days, so I had it today.  Tomorrow I will probably eat an English muffin or something and some eggs to be at 400.  I plan on working out later and doing some things around the house.  Plus, checkbook.  I need to get pretty much everything back in line at this point.  LOL  At least vacation was active!  LOL

Ok, I guess that is all for now.  Since the pic thing wasn't as much of a hassle as I was afraid it would be, maybe I will start posting more pics randomly.  Have a great week everyone and I will post again soon.  :)

  4. Oh, I see TV ads for that park all the time and I wanna go!!! When I was a kid I loved swimming pools and my parents tried to make sure that wherever we stayed had one if possible. You have to post more pics - I wanna see! I'm glad y'all had a great time. Don't worry, though. You're not the only one to gain a lotta weight on holiday; I gained mucho weight, too. Ugh.

I laughed when I saw your new shoes, because I got some for myself before I went out of town, too. My pedi is looking a little worse for wear or I'd take a pic. The blue ones are too cute.
