Feeling sick today and pretty tired.  Even with extra sleep.  And my oldest child is STILL in bed and it is noon.  I hate to wake him up since he's been sick and all, but I am worried about him sleeping so late.  He's been asleep around 14hrs.  But to be honest, I could've slept that easily today.  Whatever this illness is, it SUCKS.  I am prone to believing it is a type of flu.  I don't know what else it could be that wipes you out so completely.  Oldest's is the worst because he won't eat and rest as he should.  I had to force him one day and it was the day before he finally started improving.  I love him to bits, but he is for sure the drama queen of the family and won't do what he is suppose to do most of the time without MAJOR effort to convince him (when he doesn't feel good, overall he's a damn good kid).  The rest of us will do whatever to get over it, but he fights and just wants to be left alone.  I can't really blame him.  I feel like crud and just want to take my meds and sleep and honestly, I didn't have much appetite yesterday.  I did end up eating 2 squares of chocolate last night right before bed and that added 95 cals to my total which is good because that got me over 1200.  I don't like to be under 1200.  They were the new Hershey's Dark squares and SO good.  I don't even LIKE Hershey normally because it is too... sweet and has a strange texture to me.  I've been a Lindt girl for years and years.  But this new product (sold at Costco of course!) is fabo.  My fave is the pomegranate.  Who'd have thought pomegranate and dark chocolate would be so good?  LOL  I could actually TASTE it, too!  Anyways, my point is that I didn't have much of an appetite but I'm an adult and knew I needed to eat.  Getting him to eat is a whole different story.  It was a pain.  But he is so thin he really needs to eat especially when sick.  I think it is a large part of why he is so tired and takes forever to get over illness.

On another note, I've decided to wait and weigh in on the 28th/1st.  I can't decide which of those two but I am really thinking the 1st.  I am thinking the first so I have an end weight for the month and a beginning weight for March.  I know a lot of people haven't enjoyed Feb., but its one of my fave months.  I just hope as far as my weight goes it is a good month since typically Feb. (and March) are non-loss months for me in years past.  And by that statement I'm talking about when I was losing weight before and now after my youngest being born.  Last year in particular.  It would be awesome for it to be different this year.  Plus, the 1st would be the day before we are 'suppose' to go to the Aquarium with the hubb's family.  If we don't go, I'm going to be sorta pissy.  We had wanted to do our Anniversary weekend at a spa this weekend.  But between the possible trip to the Aquarium and a friend of a family member (maybe soon to be a family member, too) having a death in the family... Well... we just aren't sure of our plans.  I'm choosing not to stress either way.  What would be the point?  It would be for nothing.  What will be will be!

A bit over tonight, but that is ok.  Not going to fret.  130 over my average and 30 over my range.  After being sick, I'll take it.  :)  I made it through today with minimal anger and frustration.  AND, I managed to make 80 bucks by selling some more of my maternity stuff.  Ready to get this house cleaned out.  I hope in the next couple of weeks to sell and donate more and be done with it.  I also hope to pay off my everyday use card and maybe our other card AND a good chunk on the last card.  THEN, I want to work on the house.  House?  Yes.  We have 2 extra loans tied to our house.  One is from where we got our CH/A upgraded.  The other is part of our main loan.  I don't think we can do much about that but maybe pay a bit extra on it per month (which we already do) but it would be amazing if we could get the CH/A loan paid off before we sold the house.  Granted, that won't be anytime soon, but it would be one less thing to worry about.  I've decided to make this priority over my car just because it could be a condition on the sale.  If we end up making more, we can either sock it away or pay off the car.  Probably sock it away.  We've already refilled our cash drawer, and gotten our savings up to a better amount.  I want to get it built up even more and feel like we have a seriously major cushion.  My big thing that I'm lacking in... that would be an IRA.  Yes, I am 33 frickin' years old and my goal was to have one at 30 and I've missed it by 3yrs.  I'm disappointed in myself.  I even said last year that I would open it right after my b-day and never made it.  I have to find a way to do that this year.  HAVE TO.  I'm 33.  I should've had this in the works at 30.  UGH.  3 whole years behind.  THREE.  In regards to retirement, that's a lot.  Maybe I will try to work on that some this next week.  Lots of things to work on.  Mostly getting over being sick.  LOL

Well, that is all for tonight. :)

  1. Girl, you have my sympathies. A sick house with sick kids and adults is rough. It's so crummy when you are all sick and don't wanna eat, but know you need to. Is your little fella ok with taking fluids when he is sick? I'm usually all about juice and emergen-c. At least that has some calories and the vitamin c boost. I drank smoothies non stop because I kept feeling like I was about to get really sick. Eesh.
