Percolating

I'm up and trying to get percolating this day.  I have a few things to do, but nothing really major, I guess.  Mostly need to sort through a couple of bins of clothes, go through oldest's things, and maybe actually do more laundry.  JOY.  I finished up a lot of housework yesterday, but didn't do my floors so I may try out that new recipe for floor cleaning that I have been meaning to try for a while now.  Even my downstairs is pretty darn clean!  Laundry isn't even bad, I just don't want it to pile up.  Overall, the house is in good shape AND a few days ago I worked on one of my blanket projects and got a good section of that done.  Slowly but surely.  AND, I worked on one of my photo projects!  Hmmm... maybe I should work on THAT today if I don't go shopping with my friend.  I don't really need to shop, but she is wanting to shop for her kiddos.  The only one who will need anything is my oldest and I actually like to take him with me the first time to get a good idea of what cut/size he needs this season.  We make a day of it!  We go out to lunch, shop, and he gets to buy some new toy or gadget.  We laugh and have a good time.  :)  BUT, seeing as how we just had to buy new jeans (his were already too short!), I already have a good idea of what he will need.  So, we could have a day out of doing something fun and not do the shopping part.  Hmmm... decisions!  Youngest is set -- he has hand-me-downs!  I'm going to go through and see what will work, but I think he will be covered.  :)

Other than that, just doing the food thing and trying to get in a bit of exercise.  I didn't do anything but a bit of Pilates yesterday and it wasn't the full she-bang.  We got a surprise call that fam was in town so we got all ready to go and then got the run around which threw my whole evening off.  In the end, we didn't get to see them and I had wasted HOURS.  So, I got in a few stomach exercises and legs and that was about it.  Then my monster headache hit and I was like SCREW THIS.  So... mostly been focusing on my food.  I've been a bit over 1600 the last two days, but not terribly so I'm good with that.  Just need to be better about exercise.  I should probably get downstairs and knock that out soon... yes, that sounds good.

Anyways, I've been boring and will probably stay boring.  I'm still nervous about weigh-in, but I can't do anything but my best and go with it.  I DID try on my goal pants again and was surprised I could get them up (without really pulling and fighting like crazy) and almost button them!  ALMOST!  I am hoping that I will be getting there in the next 5 to 10lbs.  I think I would be closer if I had been working out more consistently, but it is what it is.  But we all know that the more toned you are from working out, the better your clothes fit even at bigger sizes!  So, gotta make time even if it is only a quick Pilates session.

Whoa.  Way over cals, but... it was date night.  *sigh*  But on the good note, I bowled with the hubby for 2hrs!  Every calculator I can find says I burned around 300 to 500 calories for 2 hours of pretty consistent bowling.  Since it was only the 2 of us, there wasn't a whole lot of lag.  And we had FUN!  I didn't think I was going over cals so much, though.  Oh well, live and learn!  LOL  I don't regret it.  Hopefully my body will do it's normal thing and my hunger will be low over the next couple of days to balance it out.  Hopefully I can get in a workout today, too!  I've been busy doing housework, bowling and whatnot, but have only gotten in one quick Pilates session other than the bike ride.  I see a bike ride in my future!  I enjoy it so much it's crazy.  Never thought the bike would be my thing.  :)

  1. I should come jean shopping with you guys. Seriously, most of my pants are now too big. My last appointment at the chiro they were freaking falling off, and I was like, hmmm- this isn't good. I pulled them on in a hurry, and didn't snatch a belt because they fit for about fifteen minutes out of the dryer. Le sigh.
I like riding bikes. I haven't had one of my own in so long though. Ever since my brother stole mine out of the garage in highschool and sold it for drug money...

    1. Yeah... my 16's are a no-go but thankfully I had some 14's from before I had my second kiddo. But now, even those are getting pretty loose! I'm a pain to shop with, though. I tell it like it is when it comes to how something looks/fits and well... not all people appreciate that! So, I try to be quiet when I know it isn't wanted... but it can be hard! LOL Many times, I end up going by myself or with my hubby. Believe it or not, he really likes to shop! Which I love. :)
